Title: YouTube Video Editor & Channel Manager

Video Editor Responsibilities

• Edit high quality and engaging long and short form videos
• Edit promotional/launch videos as needed
• Select appropriate captions, lower thirds, transitions, motion graphics, b-roll, sound effects, and music to enhance visual storytelling
• Concept and design compelling thumbnails using Photoshop, Canva or similar graphic design tool
• Maintain brand voice, visual standards, and quality across all video content
• Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high creative standards
• Manage video review cycles and feedback using tools like Frame.io or similar
• Contribute ideas for workflow improvements and innovative content approaches

​Channel Management Responsibilities

• Upload, optimize, and schedule videos within YouTube Studio
• Create SEO-friendly titles, descriptions, tags, chapters, hashtags, playlists, and other metadata needed
• Manage YouTube backend tasks including scheduling, premieres, community posts, and overall channel organization
• Utilize VidIQ to optimize videos and improve channel performance
• Collaborate with other team members during launches and special ministry projects
• Occasionally assist with time-sensitive ministry initiatives and promotional campaigns

Additional qualifications to consider:

• Strong Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Canva, Photoshop, Epidemic Sounds, Artlist.io or similar tools
• Familiarity with AI-driven tools such as ChatGPT, Claude AI, or similar
• Deep understanding of social media video trends, editing styles, trending audio, and Youtube feature updates to enhance content performance
• Excellent organizational skills for managing raw footage, project files, and workflows
• Willingness to take on other video and youtube tasks as assigned

• Is open to recommending new tools, technologies, and workflows that improve collaboration, creativity, efficiency, and channel growth
• Communicates professionally and responds promptly through team communication platforms

Position Details

• Independent Contractor position
• Approximately 20-30 hours per month based on project needs
• Fully Remote
• Hourly compensation based on experience
• Occasional increased request of video projects may be requested during ministry launches or special events
