Scriptures to Stand On

Below are verses from Scripture that will be gentle and humble reminders of God’s love and faithfulness along the journey.

This list of verses was created to help you meditate on truth and equip you for those moments when life and everything around you tell you to just stay where you are. You will find this to be an invaluable tool as you take leaps that are both big and small.

Read through them daily, treasure these in your heart, and meditate on them day and night. Let them become your first point of reference and your weapon in the battle to the finish.

2 Thessalonians 3:3

“But the Lord is faithful. He will estab- lish you and guard you against the evil one.”

Ecclesiastes 11:6

“In the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good.”

Joshua 1:9

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Philippians 1:6

“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

Matthew 19:26

“But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’”

Deuteronomy 31:8

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Romans 8:31

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

Proverbs 3:5‒6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Psalm 32:8

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”

1 John 5:14

“And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.”

As you boldly take leaps of faith…

know that God is with you, He is for you, and He will not let you down. My prayer for you is the same as Paul’s when he spoke to the church of Thessalonica:

So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do. Then the name of our Lord Jesus will be honored because of the way you live, and you will be honored along with him. This is all made possible because of the grace of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ. (2 Thess. 1:11‒12 NLT)
