YOUR LEAP STYLE IS BUILDER!

Have you ever heard of a Trust fall?

It’s when you are willing to take a risk because you know that there is someone behind you that won’t let you fall. Knowing your leap style helps you confidently fall into the hands of Jesus as you take leaps. It gives you confidence as you look at His history and faithfulness throughout your life in other areas you’ve taken leaps and reassurance that the One who led you to leap, won’t let you fall.

Now let’s learn more about your style of leaping.

WHAT IS A BUILDER?

The way you care for others is an amazing part of your identity and how you have been made in the image of God.

As a BUILDER, you focus on making adjustments and accommodations in your life and career often based on the needs of loved ones.

This leap comes from the biblical story of Nehemiah. Although Nehemiah had a full-time career, he was temporarily called away from it to complete an important task during a specific season based on the needs of his family and community. After the task was complete he returned to his work as a cupbearer to the King.

Nehemiah organized everything needed for his leap financially and practically. When he presented the request to the king (i.e. his boss), he was completely prepared for his leap and able to focus on the assignment at hand, rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem. We can learn so much from his preparedness, prayer life, and stewardship as a leaper.

As a natural builder, you may often find yourself in situations where you need to make temporary adjustments to care for loved ones or to accomplish an endeavor. Whatever it may be, your willingness to do so is because you have a servant’s heart.

It can be difficult at times, especially when there is an unexpected need or you feel unprepared, however, that is why you must use the same wisdom and strategy God gave Nehemiah that helped him properly prepare, plan, and execute his leap, to take your own.

“And I answered the king, “If it pleases the king and if your servant has found favor in his sight, let him send me to the city in Judah where my ancestors are buried so that I can rebuild it.Then the king, with the queen sitting beside him, asked me, “How long will your journey take, and when will you get back?” It pleased the king to send me; so I set a time.”

–Nehemiah 2:5-6
